   My newest Kindle book, bought after reading youlikeairplanestoo tip.

   I haven’t read many books lately on account of bricking my Kindle a few weeks ago when I accidentally took it on a floating trip down the Comal River (don’t ask). However, I read a copy of Topgun Days by Dave “Bio” Baranek during my recent travels to attend EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. “Bio” is a former Topgun instructor and F-14 RIO (Radar Intercept Officer) and even had a hand in the filming of Top Gun starring Tom Cruise (as if you didn’t know!).

   I love reading first hand accounts from pilots and other flying types, and I’ll say, this book was a joy to read! From heart stopping ejections into the ocean, to the day-to-day thrill of flying and teaching in the world’s foremost fighter pilot training program, Dave Baranek’s book recounts it all in great detail.
